Bruce Allen
My academic training includes a BA in economics from Washington University in St. Louis, and a MS in Natural Resources, with a concentration in economics, from Michigan State University.
I have spent most of my career in marketing, advertising and sales, including ten years as a commissioned broker, registered representative and manager for AXA Advisors, formerly Equitable Life and Alliance Capital.
My primary blog, Ask Mr. BruAl, began as a humor site and has recently taken a more serious tilt. I have recently started posting to my two other blogs, MotoGP Hits the Brickyard and Hoosier Blogger, which is very new.
I am interested in the economic and investment consequences of global warming and peak oil. As an investor, I believe that macroeconomics is the backdrop against which all investment decisions need to be made. I believe there are opportunities as well as risks.
I am working on an article for Investopedia, as well as a series of stories for motorcycle.com., and a feature story for Indianapolis Monthly magazine.
I own my own marketing communications firm, Clear Concept Communications. We provide marketing, content research and writing services for our small business clients.
